The idea came to life after we made a king out of screws and nuts
This set will help beginners remember the proper moves since I modeled each piece by their specific move.
Working with the resources available to me without buying any additional material.
First a chopping board for veg, second a board for leatherwork, third a chess board.

I didn’t have any Velcro, so I figured a hammer and nails were the next best option to make sure pieces didn’t float around in space.
The board has been tested to hold up to 8lbs. The board itself is made of 2 sheets of cardboard, glued together. The reason I chose to do 2 sheets is because it is more strong then just 1.

I broke this chess set in by losing to my younger brother three times in a row. I haven’t beaten him since he was probably 9 or 10.
I just learned that the king is the tallest piece on a chess board. All other pieces should be sized accordingly.
A fascinating build that got me thinking all about status in the Middle Ages.
A universal tripod adapter makes this set portable.
